I'm trying to get at something here. I'm a Twilight lolfan and I love RPattz cause of how hilarious he is about how much he fucking hates Twilight - but I've found that every legitimate Twilight fan also legitimately loves him, and I find this a total contradiction.

If this was something I loved, Edward was a character I loved, and believed in, and Rob said stuff like the quotes below, I would hate him for it, yet no one does.

Bella just projects whatever fantasy she wants onto Edward and he’s just a canvas for whatever she wants him to be. No matter what he says or does, it doesn’t matter to her. I guess in that way it’s kind of a fraudulent relationship."


He hates Edward, he hates the books, he hates Smeyer. Yet legit fans, who love Edward, love the books, and love Smeyer, still love him. This is hypocritical, I think. Can anyone explain this to me? Have they just not read these articles or something?

See, I'm one of those people who doesnt really like Twilight at all except for the lolz, but I think RPatz shittalking Smeyer is fairly repulsive and tactless, because dude? That book, however crap you think it is, is paying your bills and giving you exposure you would have never had otherwise (I mean lets face it, really, he's not that good an actor).

To be honest, I am completely indifferent when it comes to him. In my mind they could've cast a better Edward, but at the same time I'm content with him. The movie is good and all, but the books are what I like...the movie is just, I don't know...a way of seeing it come to life without taking it too seriously. This doesn't make sense but its getting late, haha.

I think the reason Edward fans like him is because he DOES play Edward well - and he's omg beautiful. (I suppose) and at the end of the day, he is a lolrus.

Besides, its all about Mike Newton! <3

I haaaaaaaate Twilight the book. I can't even like it in a so-bad-it's-funny way, I just hate it. But I don't mind the film. I think Robert and Kristen look good together and I enjoy how much Robert seriously regrets taking the role before reading the script. I fully support the hate of Edward in the book and of Meyer because I hate those things to.

I for one cannot even LOOK at the books. it makes me want to burn them. i think i hate it MORE because so many (WHY??WHY????) people like it.

I now officially term anything bad that gets over-glorified as being a "twilight". rh+ is a twilight. rh+ is a live action adaptation of a VAMPIRE manga. which makes it funnier that its a twlight. (rh+ fails because of the lame acting but the story's alright, though i've never read the manga.)

all "twilights" must possess the quality of either being so bad its funny, or just plain bad, and must MUST have a legit fanbase. or be glorified in general. like. for example. the sun. or something.

I just got into the books at the end of summer, and once I started reading Twilight, it was all I could think about...like, I read all four books in under two weeks because they were like a drug to me. (My own personal brand of heroin, maybe.) I have never gotten sucked into something that quickly, it was pretty crazy.

That said, I don't really care about the back-story around the books or the movies or anything, I just watched my first interview about the movies when I happened to watch Penelope this weekend and there was a special sneak peek thing. I do think it's kinda dumb that RPattz doesn't like anything about the series, or at least that he's so vocal about it.

I have found, frustratingly, that as I re-read Harry Potter and see Cedric Diggory mentioned, I get a little gooey inside. I don't even like Edward OR Bella, I find them both annoying (so I'm not sure why I'm so addicted to the whole thing), but I find RP attractive in certain scenes as Edward.

Anyway this comment has taken far too long to finish, as I'm at work, so I better stop here or I'll never post it.

No, it's not like that - it's more direct than that. Besides from like, Harry Potter, people don't have any connection to Rob, he's just the actor that plays Edward.

If people legit love the character Edward, which is fine, what I don't get is how they are not mad at Rob for dissing it.

People have opinions, doesn't mean you have to stop liking somebody or stop supporting them if everybody did this nobody would be friends..
